Washington Huskies Recruiting: Aaron Gordon Continues To Favor Huskies

There are few secrets kept on the college basketball recruiting trail these days. While a few of the nation's best prospects keep their college favorites close to the vest, Aaron Gordon has not been shy to let his frontrunners be known.

Many have felt the Washington Huskies are the leaders in his recruitment, and Gordon confirmed that news on Thursday. There is another Pac-12 team making a serious push to land the talented power forward, though, and they should be seen as a legitimate threat.

Here's the latest from Jeff Borzello.

Huskies head coach Lorenzo Romar would welcome a commitment any day from the young forward, who just happens to be ranked 5th overall by Rivals in the 2013 class, but Gordon appears set on deciding in the spring. That gives Arizona time to make up ground, which is never a good thing given Sean Miller's recent success on the recruiting trail.

At the end of the day, it would be tough to see Gordon not choosing UW based on his connection to coach Romar and his staff. This being said, it is expected to be a two-horse race all the way for the west coast's best prospect.
