Joel McHale is known for many things. While he'll always bring the laughs on TV, what many don't know is that he's an avid Seattle sports fan. And when he had the opportunity to tell a couple of jokes at last night's ESPY Awards, he had some fun at the recent stretch of tough times in the city.
We have the video for you, and also a look at what is now one of the the better handshakes I've ever seen.
Here's McHale at the ESPYS.
You'll recall that McHale spent two years as a walk-on football player with the Washington Huskies in college. What a good time that must've been.
If that host, Rob Riggle, looks familiar, you'll also remember he tried out at Seahawks training camp a few years back.
Even with the city of Seattle in a bit of a sports slump right now, it's good to see some of the locals still supporting their teams. Here's hoping the Mariners can move to within 15 games of first place when they take the field tomorrow!
