The 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series continued on Saturday night, as the Kentucky Speedway played host to the Quaker State 400. It was a tale of two drivers as the two native Washingtonians in the race were concerned.
Brad Keselowski managed to hold off Kasey Kahne for the checkered flag, but the second-place finish for Kahne was huge. Kahne will jump three spots in the standings to stick at No. 14 overall heading into next week. Moving past the cutoff or grabbing a wild card spot is now well within his grasp as the Chase of the Cup draws close.
Greg Biffle, meanwhile, finished the Quaker State 400 all the way down in 21st place. As a result, Biffle will slide all the way down to No. 4 overall in the standings, with Dale Earnhardt, Jr. reclaiming the No. 2 spot and Jimmie Johnson moving to No. 3.
