The 2012 NASCAR Sprint Cup Series rolled into Dover International Speedway on Sunday for the FedEx 400.
Jimmie Johnson ended up taking advantage of a late caution and taking over the lead from Jeff Gordon. Johnson held on to grab the checkered flag.
Kasey Kahne continued his strong run, avoiding many of the pitfalls that other drivers succumbed to in order to finish at No. 9 in the race. Overall points leader Greg Biffle did not fare as well, coming in at 11th place. This may be the week that sees Biffle relinquish the No. 1 spot on the Sprint Cup leaderboard, as Matt Kenseth finished third and will climb along with Johnson.
The race featured a 12-car wreck in the early going, but both Kahne and Biffle were lucky enough to escape the carnage unscathed.
