2012 Wimbledon Results: Maria Sharapova Cruises In Third Round

We've had a great first week at Wimbledon and Friday saw quite a few terrific matches be played. On the men's side of things it was Roger Federer who rallied in the final three sets to defeat Julien Benneteau after a very early scare. Novak Djokovic lost his first set against Radek Stepanek, but then came back to win the next three sets, 6-2, 6-2, 6-2.

The favorite for Americans left at Wimbledon has to be Sam Querrey, who pulled the upset on Friday over No. 21 Milos Raonic in four sets.

On the ladies side of the tournament, Maria Sharapova advanced yet again in just two sets. She won 6-1, 6-4. Agnieszka Radwanska, the world's current No. 3 player, won her match in two sets, as well.

Play will resume on Saturday morning.
