The University of Washington had a monster day of recruiting Friday, when the Huskies locked up eight verbal commitments, including seven for the 2013 recruiting class.
Scout.com's Greg Biggins, who was in Seattle to cover UW's "Rising Stars" camp, broke the news of each commit via twitter:
LB Jordan (Calif) 2014 WR Rashead Johnson committed to the #Washington. He was offered after the camp yesterday and committed on the spot.

The Dawgs have been able to recruit relatively well under Steve Sarkisian, but when Tosh Lupoi was hired away from Cal this offseason, the bar was raised.
Lupoi came to Montlake as one of the premier recruiters in the country, and based on early results, the hire is already paying dividends.
According to Rivals.com's Mike Farrell, today's commitments vault Washington into the Top 20 of their recruiting rankings:
#Washington in top 20 now in our team rankings. We will see if some of the threes become fours after senior eval.

As always, verbal commitments are non-binding and nothing can become official until the first Wednesday in February 2013 - or as we know it in the football world: National Signing Day.
