College World Series 2012 Schedule: Oregon Hosts Eugene Regional, Oregon State Travels to Baton Rouge

The regional tournaments for the 2012 College World Series kicked off on Friday and both Oregon and Oregon State were represented in the round of 64. The double elimination regionals are located in 16 cities, with four teams apiece, with the winners of each region advancing to a best-of-3 series in the Super Regionals. The eight teams that emerge from those Super Regionals will advance to the College World Series in Omaha, Nebraska. But, first things first - the Ducks and the Beavers face a long, hard road to make it to Omaha and it starts now.

Oregon hosts the Eugene Regional and are the 1-seed there. They'll face off against 4-seed Austin Peay Friday at 6:00 PM PST and the other action today will see Fullerton take on Indiana State. Here's the Eugene Schedule:

Game 7 - Rematch of Game 6 (if necessary, at 6 p.m.)

Meanwhile, in Baton Rouge, LA, Oregon State faces an uphill battle as a 2-seed. They're currently in action against Belmont State. Here's the schedule for the games down there, in PST.
