Kentucky Derby 2012: Daddy Long Legs Seen As Strong Contender

With the Kentucky Derby only days away, it's time to brush up on the horses in this year's field. In our latest 'Better Know A horse' segment heading into the 2012 Kentucky Derby, we take a look at one of the favorites of this year's event, Daddy Long Legs, and it's changes of winning the race.

Daddy Long Legs doesn't have much of an excuse for his poor performance in the Breeders' Cup Juvenile. Unlike several of his rivals, he had a relatively clean trip around the track and simply failed to mount a challenge at any point in the race. Things won't get a whole lot easier in the Derby after Daddy Long Legs drew the dreaded rail post.

No they certainly won't. We'll just have to wait and see how Daddy Long Legs finishes.
