Kentucky Derby 2012 Post Positions Revealed

The post positions for the 2012 Kentucky Derby have been revealed.

Churchill Downs is abuzz once more as the Run for the Roses returns for the 138th Kentucky Derby, and there is an incredible field of horses in this year's race.

The all-important post positions were revealed on Wednesday during a live show from Churchill Downs on the NBC Sports Network, which are as follows below:

1. Daddy Long Legs
2. Optimizer
3. Take Charge Indy
4. Union Rags
5. Dullahan
6. Bodemeister
7. Rousing Sermon
8. Creative Cause
9. Trinniberg
10. Daddy Knows Best
11. Alpha
12. Perspective
13. Went The Day Well
14. Hansen
15. Gemologist
16. El Padrino
17. Done Talking
18. Sabercat
19. I'll Have Another
20. Liaison

Union Rags, Dullahan, and Bodemeister are all seen as solider contenders, drawing good positioning at the fourth, fifth, and sixth spots respectfully. But you never know what horse could jump ahead of the field come Saturday.

'The Greatest Two Minutes In Sports' is set to run on Saturday, May 5, with coverage on NBC Sports starting at 11:00 a.m. ET. Coverage of the race itself will be on NBC begining at 5:00 p.m. ET until 7:00 p.m. ET.
