The Players Championship 2012, Leaderboard Update: Tiger Woods, Phil Mickelson Make The Cut

Tiger Woods and Phil Mickelson were in serious jeopardy of missing the cut at The Players Championship on Friday, but late rallies from both ended their days at two-under par for the tournament, tying them for 30th overall. Woods shot -4 in the second round, while Mickelson shot a 71 to be one-under.

Matt Kuchar, Kevin Na and Zach Johnson are all currently tied atop the leaderboard at -8. Johnson made a big move up the boards on Friday, shooting six-under. Harris English is in second place at -7, and Adam Scott is among five tied for third at -6.

Rory McIlroy shot an even par on Thursday, but he went four-over on Friday to have him miss the cut by four strokes. Veterans Ernie Els and Vijay Singh (+2) were among those missing the cut.

The action from the 2012 Players Championship is set to continue on Saturday morning as the third round gets underway.
