The second round of the 2012 Players Championship is well underway, and the birdies are dropping all over TPC Sawgrass this morning. Former Masters champ Zach Johnson has jumped to the front of the pack after firing a 6-under 66, now sitting at 8-under for the week.
Johnson was on fire today, dropping eight birdies along with two bogies, coming in with a 32 on his back side after sinking five birds on the back nine. He is now two shots clear of the field with Adam Scott and five other competitors at 6-under for the week behind him.
Tiger Woods just teed off, and thanks to a poor opening round is over the projected cut line of even par at 2-over for week, He'll need to avoid those mistakes he made on Thursday if he wants to be around for the weekend. Woods has never missed the cut in back-to-back starts in his professional career.
