206 Clicks: King Felix Let Down Again, Isaiah Thomas Shines

Mariners 2, Tampa Bay 3 [box]: Anytime Felix Hernandez dominates, it is incredibly disappointing to see the bullpen blow it. I want to whine about and blame Brandon League, but in reality, League is not Eric Gagne cerca 2003 — he is going to blow some games. Everything stinks a little more when Felix is let down because it is Felix. When Felix loses, it feels worse than when Kevin Millwood loses. Even though the result is the same, as a fan I want to see Felix succeed. Yes, I know wins-losses mean nothing in evaluating how good a pitcher is, but I want Felix with the most wins, strikeouts and lowest ERA. I want dominance. Lookout Landing wonders why Felix doesn't have a no-hitter yet. Mariners (11-13) vs. Tampa Bay Rays (15-8), 4:10 pm PT, ROOT Sports, 6.5 games back.

Monday's Tweet of the Day:

  • Grantland ranks Isaiah Thomas as the third best rookie in the NBA this season. Not bad for Mr. Irrelevant. He's been unstoppable in pick and roll situations, but needs to cut down on his turnovers according to the writer.
  • The WAC conference is falling apart. Seattle U joins as a non-football school in 2013, but the conference will need to find new members as Utah State, San Jose State and Texas San-Antonio are all leaving. Redhawks Head Coach Cameron Dollar sees it as a positive thing, increasing his team's chances of an automatic bid.
  • Art Thiel from Sports Press NW provides us with a in-depth interview with Chris Hansen. If you do not know who Hansen is by now, shame on you. Must read.
