It's possible that Jason Vargas is pitching with a five-run lead for the first time in three years. He appears uncomfortable with it. A leadoff single is followed up by Vargas air-mailing a come-backer into center field. As it sits, the Mariners are up 7-2 with one out in the bottom of the sixth, but the game is a lot less settling for M's fans than it was seven minutes ago. He is promptly replaced with someone named Steve Delabar.
