Masters Leaderboard Update: Lee Westwood Hanging On, Tiger Woods Moving On Up

Birdies have been plentiful so far during the second round of play at the 2012 Masters on Friday as a number of players have creeped closer to the leaders. Lee Westwood is hanging on to the lead in the second round, but may not have it for long with names like Rory McIlroy and Tiger Woods making moves up the leaderboard behind him.

Lee Westwood has been steady all day, riding his 1-under round thus far out to 6-under, but Jason Dufner's Friday 70 has placed him right behind Westwood at five-under, both looking for their first major victory of thier career.

Louis Oosthuizen, Sergio Garcia and Rory McIlroy all find themselves at 4-under for the week, while veterans Fred Couples and Miguel Angel Jimenez along with Italy's Frencesco Molinari are all at 3-under.

Tiger Woods got on the course late, but was making moise early with a birdie at the first. Ben Crane started nicely but gave a shot back to finish the day at 2-under par.

Overnight rain gave way to some soggier conditions for the morning players, but it has been drying out significantly as the day as gone on. It's supposed to only get drier and sunnier as the weekend progresses, making this track that more difficult for the remaining field.

The cut line is currently at 4-over.
