Tiger Woods is off to a solid start at the 2012 Masters, making three birdies in his first 10 holes at Augusta National. But then came the always intimidating Amen Corner, though Tiger navigated his way through it well, like he has for most of his career as a four-time Masters champion
After finding the fairway on No. 11, aka White Dogwood, Tiger left himself about a 25-footer for birdie on the hole on the difficult par-4, looking to make the only red number of the day there by any competitor yet. Unfortunately his putt came up just short, having to settle for a par.
Than it was on to the historic par-3 No. 12, aka Golden Bell, where Tiger figured out the swirly winds to leave his tee shot safely short of the pin about 20 feet. He would making another two-putt par and move on.
To finish it off is my personal favorite, the par-5 13th, aka Azalea, where Tiger left himself in perfect position to go after the green in two after his drive. He was a little over-zealous with his long iron second shot, carrying it just a tad too far, finding himself in the bunker for his third shot. Tiger found himself in a difficult position, trying to splash it out and create some spin, but instead carried it too far once more, leaving himself a longer uphill birdie. He would two-putt for par once more.
Paul Laurie's the leader in the clubhouse a 3-under, but it's Henrik Stenson that everyone is chasing, currently at -5 par.
