NFL Draft Results 2012: Seahawks Select Winston Guy in the 6th Round

With the 11th pick of the 6th round in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks have selected Winston Guy, a safety from University of Kentucky. Guy is a three year starter who put up very solid numbers the past two years: 120 tackles, two interceptions and two pass breakups his senior year, 106/3/2 his junior year. He is traditional strong safety who can also play some special teams.

Here is more info on Winston Guy from Sports Illustrated.

Tough run-defending safety who is best between the numbers. Explodes up the field, effectively uses his hands to protect himself and quickly gets to the ballcarrier. Displays a burst to the action, easily changes direction and aggressively lays his shoulder pads into ballcarriers. Works hard in run defense and is fast bearing down on ballcarriers.

Seahawks' next pick is the 18th selection of the 7th round, 225th overall. Head over to NFL.com to track every pick as the Draft moves on.
