With the 2nd pick of the 6th round in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Seattle Seahawks have selected Jeremy Lane, a cornerback from Northwestern State. Lane broke into the starting lineup his senior year and garnered 41 tackles, two interceptions and three pass break-ups. He is a developing prospect who flashed some skills in his two years playing but will need a bit more time before he becomes an impact player with the Seahawks.
Here is more on Jeremy Lane from Sports Illustrated.
Tall, fluid defensive back with a nice upside. Agile, displays little stiffness in his game and easily moves about the field. Quickly flips his hips turning to run with opponents off the line. Plays with balance and body control, getting vertical to defend the throw. Quick-footed in reverse, displays a burst out of his plant and fast closing to the action. Displays good hands for interceptions.
The Seahawks' next pick is the 11th selection of the 6th round, 181st overall. Head over to NFL.com to track every pick as the Draft moves on.
