2012 NFL Mock Draft: Seahawks Select Amini Silatolu In Second Round

The first round of the 2012 NFL Draft is in the books, though the Seattle Seahawks still have a lot of work to do still as they have six more rounds of picks to be had.

Over at Mocking the Draft, they've released their updated second round mock, projecting what needs each team will look to fill with the next picks. As for the Seahawks, MTD has them going offensive with their second rounder, taking OL Amini Silatolu out of Midwestern State 43rd overall.

Here is MTD's Dan Kadar with the commentary:

The Seahawks may have drafted several offensive linemen of late, but they still need a guard after losing Robert Gallery. Silatolu makes sense, which is why this pick may not happen. Pete Carroll is crazy.

Now I can't comment of whether or not Carroll is or is not senile, but I will say that a talent like Silatolu would be a great addition to their offensive line. The Hawks remain in need of some extra beef up front for both quarterback protection and the run game as well, and Silatolu certainly fits the bill in that regard.
