With the 13th pick in the 2012 NFL Draft, the Arizona Cardinals have selected Michael Floyd, a wide receiver from the University of Notre Dame. Floyd was a standout with the Irish, recording nine touchdowns and 1,147 yards on 100 receptions.
Here is a bit more on Floyd from Sports Illustrated:
Floyd has been a force on the Notre Dame offense since his freshman season and a terrific receiver opponents could not stop. He possesses the skills to be a starting wide out at the next level and can develop into a primary pass catcher in certain systems. Floyd possesses the size and skills to have a long NFL career if he focuses on the little things and stays away from off-the-field distractions.
The Cardinals' next pick is the 17th selection of the 3rd round, 90th overall.
