The Masters 2012 Preview: Golf's Biggest Event Kicks Off This Week

There are three golfers participating in the 2012 Masters who hail from the Northwest and have their sights set on the prestigious green jacket. Fred Couples, Ben Crane and Kyle Stanley will all have their work cut out for them as they attempt to beat out the best golfers in the world and claim this major tournament victory. The full week of events will begin on Monday, with play beginning on Thursday.

The players will have already arrived in Augusta or be en route by Monday, as a practice round is set for all golfers beginning at 8:00 a.m. ET. Two more practice rounds are set for Tuesday and Wednesday to allow the players to get a more intimate feel for the course before play begins in earnest.

The first two rounds on Thursday and Friday will be televised on ESPN, while Saturday and Sunday's final two rounds will air on CBS.

Pairings and tee times for the first two rounds of play will be announced on Tuesday.
