Seattle Seahawks Face 49ers On Thursday Night Football, Packers On ESPN

The Seattle Seahawks were selected for two primetime games in 2012, both of which are coming against teams that were among the favorites to win a Super Bowl next February. With the Seahawks looking to claim a playoff spot next season, you can bet they'll be looking to make a statement in front of the entire nation.

Seattle will host Aaron Rodgers and the Green Bay Packers in week 3, a game picked up by ESPN for Monday Night Football. This will be the third week in a row that the Hawks will face off with a playoff contender (they face the Cardinals and Cowboys in the first two weeks) and you can bet they'll look to use their home field advantage to pull the big upset.

The second game selected for a national telecast is against the San Francisco 49ers in week 7. The NFL Network chose this game for Thursday Night Football, and it promises to be a great matchup between two NFC West rivals. Expect a low scoring, defensive minded game here.
