Pac-12 Tournament Bracket, Quarterfinals 2012: Washington Faces Oregon State In Quarterfinals

After day one of Pac-12 tournament action at the Staples Center in Los Angeles, the quarterfinal games for Thursday have been set.

Thanks to a 69-64 victory over the No. 8 seed Washington State Cougars, the No. 9 Oregon State Beavers will face No. 1 Washington at 12 p.m. on Thursday afternoon. Oregon State jumped out to a 24-8 lead to start the game and hit free-throws down the stretch to ward off a late Cougar rally.

No. 5 UCLA took down No. 12 USC, 55-40. Seattle-native Joshua Smith did not play for the Bruins the entire first half as a punishment for missing the team bus. Smith only played eight minutes in the effort, finishing with five points.

In the third first-round game, No. 7 Stanford beat No. 10 Arizona State, 85-65. Bellevue-native Aaron Bright came off the Bench for the Cardinal and scoring 11 points and dishing out five assists in 25 minutes of play.

No. 6 Colorado's 53-41 victory over the No. 11 Utah Utes capped off the first day of the Pac-12 tournament. Andre Robinson led the Buffaloes with 20 points and 11 rebounds.
