Todd McShay NFL Mock Draft 2012: Alameda Ta'amu To San Diego Chargers

The San Diego Chargers just weren't a good defensive team last season. No matter how well the offense performed, the defense tended to make too many mistakes due to lack of pass rushers and overall strength at the second level.

Todd McShay has his new mock draft for ESPN (you can view the entire draft by checking out this link if you have an Insider account), and he has nose tackle Alameda Ta'amu of the Washington Huskies going in the second round with the 49th overall pick in the draft. If Ta'amu can develop into a dominant nose tackle at the next level, it could really upgrade a defense in need of interior strength, particularly a squad like the Chargers.

To talk about the possibility of Ta'amu becoming a San Diego Charger, go to Bolts From The Blue. To discuss how good Ta'amu is as a Husky, check out UW Dawg Pound. To learn more about mock drafts in general, head to Mocking the Draft.
