NIT 2012, Washington Vs. Minnesota Score: Golden Gophers In Control, Lead Huskies 38-26

Washington's lackluster defense is being exposed by the Minnesota Golden Gophers in Tuesday night's NIT semifinal game. Minnesota leads the Huskies 38-26 at halftime with forward Rodney Williams leading the way with 12 points.

The Huskies struggled from the beginning of the game, going one-for-nine from the field and turning the ball over two times in the game's first five minutes. Terrence Ross has carried the team's offense, with 14 of the team's 26 first half points. The rest of Washington is five-for-21 from the field.

The Huskies will need a better offensive showing in the second half along with a better performance on the glass if they want to make a comeback; The Golden Gophers are out rebounding Washington 21-13.
