Four teams punched their ticket to the regional final round on Thursday night. In the East region, the higher seeds prevailed. No. 1 seeded Syracuse Orange beat the No. 4 seeded Wisconsin Badgers 64-63, No. 2 seeded Ohio State Buckeyes beat the No. 6 seeded Cincinnati Bearcats 81-66.

The exact opposite happened in the West region with the lower seeds pulling off the upsets to advance to the Elite Eight.
