It's Washington versus Oregon for a chance to play in the 2012 NIT tournament semifinals at the Madison Square Garden in New York. Washington hosts the Ducks for the teams' third meeting of the season at Alaska Airlines Arena on Tuesday night.
This will be Washington's third consecutive NIT game at home. The No. 1 seeded Huskies beat Northwestern 76-55 last Friday night in the second round to advance to Tuesday's quarterfinal game against Oregon. The No. 3 seeded Ducks come into this game after an offensive-filled 108-97 win over the Iowa Hawkeyes on Sunday.
Tuesday night's game will be the rubbermatch of the season between these two teams. Washington won its first game against Oregon in late December 76-60, with the Ducks avenging their loss with an 82-57 victory of their own in early February.
