The 2012 NIT Tournament will hold its second round over the next couple of days. The No. 1 seed Washington Huskies were the first team to advance to the third round by blowing out the Northwestern Wildcats on Friday. On Saturday, another team advanced, as fellow No. 1 seeds the Seton Hall Pirates were stunned and eliminated by No. 5 seed Massachusetts Minutemen.
The Huskies will be watching on Saturday as the No. 3 Oregon Ducks take on the No. 7 Iowa Hawkeyes. The winner of that game will move on to face the Huskies in the third round next week. Area fans may be treated to another big Oregon-UW game before all is said and done.
