Dedicated college basketball fans have been following their teams in the NCAA tournament and sharing their thoughts on SB Nation's network of blogs. Here's the cream of crop reaction from fans whose teams participated on Thursday in the NCAA tournament:

No. 8 Kansas State 70, No. 9 Southern Miss 64:

I'm not saying Kansas State has a moral duty to beat Syracuse

but Kansas State has a moral duty to beat Syracuse. (Via: Bring On The Cats commenter, Narrow Right)

No. 4 Louisville 69, No. 13 Davidson 62:

It wasn't pretty and it wasn't poetic but a stifling defense and a decided advantage at point guard propelled the Cards to their first NCAA tournament win since March 2009. It's been a long time. It feels good. Our defense is really, really good. (Via: Card Chronicle)

No. 4 Wisconsin 73, No. 13 Montana 49:

Bruiser only shows up for the tournament

but I’m not complaining (Via: Bucky's 5th Quarter commenter, ThroughBeingCool)

No. 3 Marquette 88, No. 14 BYU 68:

Jae Crowder was his usual MANIMAL self, scoring 25 points and grabbing 16 rebounds while adding 4 assists and HEY NOW 5 steals. Mr. Honor Code Brandon Davies was the stand out for BYU with 19 points and 11 rebounds. (Via: Anonymous Eagle)

No. 1 Syracuse 72, UNC-Asheville 65:

Not only did the Orange almost become the first one-seed to ever lose to a 16-seed but their victory was tainted by multiple horrendous calls in their favor late (though to be fair, the refs were AWFUL all day long). In other words, Syracuse won but no one, not Syracuse fans and not general basketball fans, feel good about it.

It will go down as the worst win in the history of Syracuse basketball. (Via: Nunesmagician)

No. 5 Vanderbilt 79, No. 12 Harvard 70:

The Crimson gave Vandy all they could handle in one of Thursday's best games, pushing the Commodores to a 79-70 win in the second round of the NCAA Tournament. The win was Vanderbilt's first NCAA Tourney win since George W. Bush was in office. (Via: Anchor of Gold)
