Greg Oden Waived By Portland Trailblazers

Greg Oden has been waived by the Portland Trailblazers according to various reports:

Oden's release comes in the midst of a whirlwind of change in the Trailblazers organization on the day of this season's Trade Deadline. Portland traded veteran center Marcus Camby to the Houston Rockets in exchange for Hasheem Thabeet, and Jonny Flynn. Portland also traded Gerald Wallace to the New Jersey Nets for Mehmet Okur and Shawne Williams.

Oden's last time on the court was in the 2009-10 season. The former 2007 overall No. 1 draft pick's career has been full of injuries keeping the seven-footer off the floor. Oden has appeared in 13 games in his career, averaging 12.6 points and 8.6 rebounds per game.

The Trailblazers drafted Oden after he averaged 15.7 PPG and 9.6 RPG in his freshman year at Ohio State.
