NFL Combine Results: Darron Thomas Struggles In 40-Yard Dash, Shines In Broad Jump

Former Oregon Ducks quarterback Darron Thomas was looking to make a big splash on Sunday the NFL Combine in Indianapolis, but struggled when it came to the 40-yard dash. Luckily he did well in most everything else, leaving some questions to be had at Lucas Oil Stadium.

Thomas ran a 4.80 second 40-yard dash time, which was on the back end of times run by quarterbacks. He certainly made up for it with his broad jump though, showing as the top performer amongst quarterbacks with a 121 inch leap. He got up only 14 reps in the bench press, 36 inch vertical jump, 7.17 second three cone drill, and a 4.28 second 20-yard shuttle.

Thomas doesn't have a very good grade according to NFL.com, and his combine numbers certainly didn't help much either. He's still got his pro day ahead of him, so there is still some time to make a better impression on the scouts.
