The regional round matchups of the 4A and 3A state boys and girls basketball tournaments are now set. Teams that win their regional matchup will move on to the state tournament at the Tacoma Dome to compete for a state championship. After the regional games on Friday Feb. 24th and Saturday Feb. 25th, the WIAA will hold its bracket draws in its office in Renton. For the first time ever, they will broadcast the draws online. In 4A boys, the Union/Curtis and Bellarmine/Snohomish games should be thrillers while the 3A game between Mercer Island and Kennedy Catholic pits two evenly matched teams against each other.

I'm so hungry... Can't wait 2 b done with class. --Aziz N'Diaye (@ziza221)
- Former Washington Husky Justin Dentmon has been named to the West NBA D-League All-Star team. Dentmon is averaging 22.5 points, 5 assists and 4 rebounds per game for the Austin Toros (San Antonio Spurs affiliate). Can Dentmon make it to the NBA?
- Taijuan Walker garnered some high praise from both Dustin Ackley and Brendan Ryan after they faced him in Spring Training down in Peoria. Scary to think he's only 19-years old — that's how old I am. He's already close to making the big leagues? I have some catching up to do.
- Eric Wedge officially announced the move of Ichiro to the No. 3 spot in the lineup. Here's the question, what is Wedge's main cause for making this move? Is it to get Ichiro in a better position? Or is it mainly to help Figgins out? Or is it a little bit of both?
- Alex Rodriguez allegedly brought his own lunch to a restaurant when he went out with his girlfriend in South Beach on Saturday. I love how this is news. I also love how people will make a bigger deal of it than it actually is. Now, I'm just dying to know what his special meal was.
