Yes, Washington Huskies freshman point guard Tony Wroten has been YouTubed on multiple occasions for posterizing defenseless big men. But the kid has proven he can flat out ball and SI.com's Seth Davis went as far as naming Wroten the best player in the Pac-12.
*crickets* I don't hear too many people arguing.
Wroten is second in the Pac-12 in steals (2.0 per game), he's fourth in both points (16.5) and field goal percentage (46.5%) and he's eighth in assists (3.5). His game is complete and he impacts each one in a variety of ways. Just on Saturday, he dropped 22 points, nine boards and two dimes in a Huskies win over Arizona.
And need I remind you again of this!
Wroten has taken advantage of his opportunity and with the Huskies fighting for a spot in the NCAA Tournament, they'll need to lean more and more on Wroten. But that isn't a problem, he's already proven he can handle the heavy lifting.
