Isaiah Thomas, Former Washington Huskies Star, Makes First Career Start With Kings

Isaiah Thomas will always have a place in the hearts of Washington Huskies fans, especially after his heroics in the Pac-12 and NCAA Tournaments. While he has graduated and moved on from UW, the point guard is having a very nice season with the Sacramento Kings after being the No. 60 overall pick in the 2011 NBA Draft.

Thomas was rewarded for his strong play on Friday night. We have a look at his night after the page jump.

Thomas had become a huge spark plug off the bench in Sacramento and had fueled multiple fourth quarter rallies for the Kings. The team had been struggling in recent weeks which prompted the coaching staff to change the starting lineup. The point guard did not have a great night by any means -- and the Kings choked away the game down the stretch -- but his impact was certainly felt throughout.

Not too bad for an undersized player deemed "Mr. Irrelevant" at the draft last summer.
