After the non-tender deadline, the Seattle Mariners roster looks exactly the same as it did before. Two players have agreed to contracts with the team while four more were offered contracts and will now negotiate with the team on a new deal or head to arbitration.

Josh Kinney signed a contract with the team just before the non-tender deadline while Robert Andino waited until a few minutes after it had passed. Brendan Ryan, Jason Vargas, John Jaso and Shawn Kelley were all tendered contracts but have not yet come to an agreement on terms of a deal.

Jaso appeared in 108 games last year for the Mariners, hitting .276/.394/.456 with 10 home runs and 50 runs batted in. Ryan, known more for his outstanding glove at shortstop, had his worst year at the plate as a professional, hitting just .194/.277/.278 with three home runs and 31 runs batted in.

Vargas had his best year on the hill last season. He finished the year 14-11 with a 3.85 earned run average while striking out 141 batters and walking 55. He also pitched a career high 217.1 innings. Kelley appeared in 44.1 innings of relief work for the Mariners last season with a 3.25 earned run average.
