The Seattle Seahawks started the practice week without a slew of starters and key role-players as they prepare for Sunday night's showdown with the San Francisco 49ers.
Wide receiver Sidney Rice did not practice with a foot injury, likely the same injury that caused him to miss practice time last week, but the team did not disclose that info. The injury did not prevent Rice from playing against Buffalo.
Defensive tackles Alan Branch (ankle) and Jason Jones (knee) also sat out Wednesday. Branch sustained his injury against the Bills.
A pair of cornerbacks, Walter Thurmond and Marcus Trufant, both did not participate due to hamstring injuries. Trufant has been out for a few weeks with his injury, but the team is hopeful he will be ready for the 49ers.
Running backs Marshawn Lynch and Leon Washington were also on the injury report. Washington was out due to illness, and Lynch (back) was limited. Lynch being limited while resting his back has been customary this season and shouldn't impact his availability against San Francisco.
