The Oregon St. Beavers came out of nowhere this past season, and at one point they were in the hunt to win a loaded Pac-12 North Division. A couple of poor weeks cost them any chance they had at the conference crown, but that did not prevent OSU from making a big-time bowl game this December.
Oregon State was invited to the Alamo Bowl, which houses the Pac-12's second-ranked team. With Stanford and Oregon making BCS bowl games, it was the Beavers that will head to San Antonio. They will face off with the Texas Longhorns on Saturday, Dec. 29 at 6:45 p.m. ET.
The oddsmakers in Las Vegas think this game will be closely contested throughout. According to Odds Shark, Oregon State will be a two-point favorite over Texas when they take the field. The over-under is set at 57 points, which seems reasonable given the firepower both teams have on the offensive side of the ball.
