Fantasy Football 2012: Sidney Rice faces tough Jets secondary in Week 10

Scoring big on a flex player is a tough thing to do in Fantasy Football, and it may just be the difference between a win or loss that week. With Week 10 now upon us, Seahawks receiver Sidney Rice presents an interesting start-or-sit case.

The biggest downside to starting Rice is the offense he plays in. The Seahawks typically do not put up a lot of points and like to run the ball early and often. And when the team decides to let Russell Wilson air the ball out, the rookie QB has been a bit inconsistent at times.

On the other hand, Rice has 40 points in his last four games, including a 12-point effort against a tough Vikings defense last weekend. The Seahawks will be playing at home, which is typically a good thing for their offense, although they'll be facing a tough Jets secondary.

All of this being considered, Rice is a solid flex play this week. He doesn't have the speed or size to have a breakout 30-point game, but 50 yards and a touchdown reception seem possible for Week 10.
