Less than a week after they played in the regular season finale, UCLA and Stanford will meet in the Pac-12 Championship game on Friday.
While neither Washington State nor Washington were in contention for the Pac-12 North title, both teams played well against Stanford. The Huskies handed the Cardinal their only conference loss of the season, a 17-13 Husky victory in late September. Washington State also played Stanford tough, going on the road and losing 24-17. The Cougars had a chance to tie the game on the final drive, but came up just short. The Cougars also played the Bruins tough, coming back from a 37-7 halftime deficit to lose 44-36. The Huskies did not face UCLA this season.
Stanford won the Pac-12 North thanks to a 17-14 win against Oregon. It was the Ducks' only loss of the season and it gave the Cardinal the tiebreak advance over Oregon. Stanford knocked off UCLA 35-17 last week and have won four straight games against the Bruins.
