The Washington St. Cougars are looking for their first conference win of the season as they travel to Tempe, Ariz. to face off against the Arizona St. Sun Devils.
The Sun Devils have struggled lately, losing their last four games. Arizona St. played against a brutal stretch of teams, as their previous games were against the Oregon Ducks, UCLA Bruins, Oregon St. Beavers and USC Trojans. All four teams are currently ranked in BCS Top 25.
The Sun Devils own a balanced offense, as they rank 45th in the nation in passing yards and 46th in the nation in rushing yards. The Cougars have been unable to stop most of their opponents on defense, as the unit is ranked 97th in the country.
Washington St. is currently surrounded by controversy, as receiver Marquess Wilson quit the team and accused head coach Mike Leach of abuse. Leach has denied the allegations, and the school and the Pac-12 have launched investigations into the matter. The team will need to put the distractions behind them if they are going to earn their first conference win of the season.
Game Time: Saturday, Nov. 17; 12:00 p.m. PT
Location: Sun Devil Stadium; Tempe, Ariz.
