The Oregon St. Beavers came out frustrated against Purdue following their tough loss to Alabama. In what was an impressive performance from the start, OSU took third place at the 2K Sports Classic with a 66-58 win over the Purdue Boilermakers.
Devon Collier was the star for the Beavers. The junior forward went off for 27 points and 14 rebounds, both of which here highs for the game. After being named the Pac-12 Player of the Week just a few days ago, Ahmad Starks struggled to find his shot and finished with just five points on 1-for-8 shooting.
The win did not come without trouble for Oregon State. Senior forward Angus Brandt went down in the second half and was holding his right knee. He was helped off the court and headed into the locker room immediately. No updates have been made on his status, although it does not look good for him.
OSU will next play Montana State on Nov. 25.
