Oregon State vs. Stanford: Beavers lead Cardinal 23-21 after 3rd quarter

Once trailing 14-0 on the road against the No. 14 Stanford Cardinal, the No. 11 Oregon State Beavers have come all the way back to take a lead, as the Beavers lead, 23-21, at Stanford Stadium after three quarters of play.

The Beavers scored 23 consecutive points and forced the Cardinal offense into two turnovers, one fumble and one interception in the following quarters. Oregon State had not allowed a single point since the end of the first quarter, until the very last play of the third quarter.

With time running out in the third quarter, Stanford quarterback Kevin Hogan was pressured and had to get rid of the ball as the pocket was collapsing. The freshman quarterback dumped it off to running back Stepfan Taylor, who stiff-armed his way for 40 yards and the score.

It was Taylor's second touchdown of the game, giving him 47 yards in the receiving game to add to his 87 yards on the ground. He's been opposed by Beavers running back Storm Woods, who is also having himself quite a day with more than 100 yards of total offense.
