Seahawks vs. Panthers: Newton struggling, Seattle leads at halftime

At halftime in Carolina, the Seahawks lead the Panthers 6-3. Carolina has struggled to move the ball, totaling just 93 yards in the first half.

Steven Hauschka hit his second field goal to put Seattle ahead 6-0 on the Seahawks' first drive of the second quarter. Marshawn Lynch and Russell Wilson led the Seahawks to the Carolina 21 yard line to put them in range for Hauschka. The drive lasted 11 plays and started at the Seattle 32 yard line. Carolina would add a field goal of its own to end the second half, as Justin Medlock connected from 32 yards out.

The Seahawks kicked off to start the game, so they'll be receiving the ball to start the third quarter. Cam Newton struggled to get anything going in the first half, completing just three passes for 40 yards. Seattle has dropped a pair of certain interceptions, one of which would have ended the Carolina scoring drive.

Russell Wilson has been far better for the Seahawks, completing 12 of his 13 passes for 123 yards. Marshawn Lynch has pitched in with 28 yards on seven carries.
