In what looks to be the biggest day of the regular season prior to any of the conference championship games, the Oregon Ducks will travel to Los Angeles to face the USC Trojans on Nov. 3 for a 7 p.m. ET tilt that could decide which team goes to the Rose Bowl while the other holds out hope for a national championship game invite.
While the Trojans and Ducks battle it out for West Coast supremacy, a rematch of last year's national championship game will take place in Baton Rouge, La. as the LSU Tigers will host the defending champion Alabama Crimson Tide at 8 p.m. ET.
Four teams, all with national championship aspirations playing in what could be termed as a mini-playoff before college football officially takes on their soon-to-be playoff format. Like ESPN's Brett McMurphy said, ‘get new batteries for your remote', this could be an epic day for football.
