The Oregon Ducks lost four-star running back commit Thomas Tyner on Tuesday night. According to Justin Hopkins of 24/7 Sports, Tyner decommitted in order to take a couple more visits before making his final college decision. He had originally given his pledge to UO in November of 2010.
Tyner is a four-star running back and is the top-rated player among prospects from the state of Oregon. Rivals has him ranked as the 6th best tailback and 51st best overall prospect in the 2013 class. He received interest from most Pac-12 schools, as well as other programs scattered across the country.
While speculation will likely run wild in the coming weeks, Tyner set the record straight on his Twitter.
How do I know where I'm truly happy if I haven't put myself out there yet? Still love my ducks. Gotta do what I gotta do.
