The first BCS standings of the 2012 college football season were released on Sunday night. Four teams from the Pac-12 were in the top 25, including the hometown Oregon Ducks and Oregon St. Beavers. The USC Trojans and Stanford Cardinal were the other two.
The Ducks enter at No. 3 in the standings despite being ranked second in the polls last week. They have a tough road test against Arizona State looming next weekend. The Beavers are eighth in the BCS, which is their highest ranking in years. USC is ranked 10th, which is a bit of a disappointment given their No. 1 ranking to begin the year. Stanford is 20th despite playing one of the toughest schedules in the nation.
The top 10 of the BCS goes like this: Alabama, Florida, Oregon, Kansas State, Notre Dame, LSU, South Carolina, Oregon State, Oklahoma and USC. A look at this week's full rankings can be found here, courtesy of SB Nation.
