As the season hits its midway point, the USA Today Coaches' Poll, one of the major components of the BCS rankings, become more and more important. In this week's edition, the Oregon Ducks and Oregon State Beavers continue to see strong support in the poll as the first BCS rankings loom tonight.

The Ducks remain a strong No. 2, trailing the unanimous No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide, and staying well clear of the No. 3 Kansas State Wildcats.

For their continuing undefeated start to their season, the Beavers climb three spots, from No. 14 to No. 11 in the latest poll, just behind the No. 10 Florida State Seminoles and the No. 9 USC Trojans. With the Trojans, Beavers and Ducks, the Pac-12 has three teams in the top 11 of both the AP and Coaches' polls.
