Patriots vs. Seahawks injury report: C Max Unger returns to practice

Seattle Seahawks center Max Unger returned to practice Friday afternoon after sitting out Wednesday and Thursday, and is expected to play versus the New England Patriots with a probable tag.

Unger has been nursing a hip injury the past week but it's looking like he'll power through the pain, with right guard John Moffitt expected to miss his third consecutive game. Paul McQuistan will be to Unger's right in Moffit's place Sunday.

The Seahawks will also be without the services of DT Jaye Howard (foot) this week, with fellow defensive lineman Clinton McDonald likely to join him due to a doubtful designation. McDonald, the primary backup for Brandon Mebane, injured his groin in last week's win in Carolina and could be replaced on the active roster by rookie Greg Scruggs.

Following the pattern of recent weeks, RB Marshawn Lynch is listed as probable after turning in a limited practice Wednesday. He should be good to go against a New England run defense that ranks eighth in the league.
