The Wisconsin Badgers and Oregon Ducks didn't waste any time putting points on the scoreboard in the 2012 Rose Bowl. Wisconsin started the ball on the ground with Montee Ball, who manged rushes of six, ten and ten. Then Russell Wilson went to the air and found Nick Toon, Ball, and then Jared Abbrederis for the 38 yard score on a play-action route.
Oregon didn't waste any time as usual to put points on the scoreboard. Darron Thomas had a few early rushes to set up a third and short, and LaMichael James went scooting for 23 yards. Thomas then found Josh Huff for five yards, then backpedaled away from pressure for Lavasier Tuinei for 35 yards. James then ran straight into the end zone for one yard.
Wisconsin went right back to it though. Ball had a 42 yard rush and had a 30 yard reception when Wilson found him rolling out. Wilson then walked into the end zone to put the Badgers up 14-7.
