College Football Rankings: Oregon Ducks Finish No. 4 In AP And USA Today Polls

The Oregon Ducks finish with the best Pac-12 season out of anyone after their Rose Bowl victory. Can they carry that momentum into the 2012 offseason and regular season?

Oregon finished number four in both polls after beating Wisconsin in Pasadena, finishing only behind the three teams that could probably say they deserve the national championship. There is number one Alabama, who thumped LSU last night; number two LSU, who still had the best regular season of them all; and number three Oklahoma State, who won the Fiesta Bowl narrowly over Stanford. The Cardinal drop to seventh, leaving Oregon on top of the Pac-12 polls.

The Ducks will have to figure out how to replace LaMichael James this offseason, but they otherwise return mostly a full slate and should have a top ten ranking going into next season. The USC Trojans (sixth in the final AP Poll) will probably be joining them in the ranks.
