Oregon State Vs. UCLA Score Update: Mannion Struggles, Beavers Down 21-10 At Halftime

The Oregon State Beavers trail 21-10 at halftime against the UCLA Bruins. Oregon State has struggled on offense, unable to pound the ball or complete throws without a turnover of some sort hindering the way.

The Beavers opened the quarter with an ugly interception by quarterback Sean Mannion. The Bruins, who got the ball back at the Beaver 46-yard line, rushed the ball six times over the next seven plays and scored on a five-yard run by Bruins quarterback Richard Brehaut.

Bad luck struck again later in the period when Mannion fumbled the ball away on the Beaver four-yard line with under five minutes left in the period. The Bruins converted another touchdown on a four-yard run by Jordon Jones.

The Beavers do enter the locker room with some momentum, though. Jordan Poyer returned a Bruin punt with less than thirty seconds left for an 85-yard score.

Mannion has 128 passing yards and one interception on 9-of-18 passing. Terron Ward leads the Beavers ground game with 21 yards on 11 carries and James Rodgers reads OSU receivers with 48 yards on two receptions.

The Beavers will need to run the ball more effectively in the second half to mount a comeback. Oregon State will receive the opening kickoff in the second half.
